Wychbury Ave Soap & Gifts offers creative, hands-on workshops and experiences in soap, candle, and bath-product making. These workshops are designed for personal enjoyment, learning, and creative exploration.

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes take effect immediately upon posting on our website.

• Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your spot.
• Spaces in workshops are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Bookings are confirmed once payment has been successfully processed and you receive a confirmation email.
• Private bookings are not confirmed until a minimum of four (4) participants have completed payment. If the minimum is not met within five (5) days of booking, Wychbury Ave Soap & Gifts reserves the right to release the date or reschedule the session.

At Wychbury Ave Soap & Gifts, we begin preparing materials well in advance of each session, so we are unable to offer refunds once a booking is made.

If you’re unable to attend, we are happy to offer a credit or transfer under the following conditions:

• Private Bookings: Require a minimum of 14 days’ notice for cancellation or rescheduling.
• Scheduled Workshops: Require at least 48 hours’ notice to transfer to another session or receive a credit.
• Drop-In Bookings: Are non-refundable, but may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice.

If Wychbury Ave Soap & Gifts must cancel a class due to illness, emergency, or low enrollment, participants will be offered a full credit or transfer to another available date.

Workshops begin promptly at the scheduled time. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early to settle in.

• Late arrivals may miss important setup or safety information.
• Missed workshops or late arrivals cannot be refunded or credited.

We are committed to creating a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants. Please review the following age guidelines before booking:

• Adult Workshops: Participants must be 16 years of age or older. No participants under 16 are permitted in adult workshops.
• Kids’ Workshops: Designed for children aged 6+; age 6 must be accompanied by a participating adult.
• All-Ages Drop-Ins: Open to all ages, *except cold process soap-making*. Children 6 and under must be accompanied by an adult who participates hands-on. While our all-ages drop-ins are designed to be creative and fun, soap-making involves caustic ingredients and precise handling, which makes it unsafe for participants under 16. For safety and insurance reasons, we cannot accommodate children under 16 at drop-in soap-making sessions.
• Private Workshops: If children under 16 attend sessions using adult materials, a signed waiver is required acknowledging that content was not designed for children.

Refund and Attendance Policy: Refunds will not be issued for participants outside the required age range. All attendees must be registered and paid — we do not accept observers for safety and space reasons.

Many workshops involve heat, fragrance oils, colourants, and caustic substances such as sodium hydroxide (lye).

• Safety instructions are provided at the start of each session.
• Participants must follow instructor directions at all times.
• Protective gear (gloves, safety glasses) will be provided and must be worn when required.

Wychbury Ave Soap & Gifts is not responsible for injuries or reactions caused by misuse, failure to follow safety directions, or undisclosed allergies or sensitivities.

Workshop duration times listed are estimates. Actual completion times may vary depending on the number of participants, individual pace, and skill level.

Because our workshops are DIY, hands-on experiences, results vary with each participant’s focus and technique. Refunds or credits will not be given for projects that do not turn out as expected.

By attending, you release and hold harmless Wychbury Ave Soap & Gifts, its owners, operators, and staff from all liability for loss, damage, or injury (including death) occurring during participation, travel, or while on premises.

Participation is voluntary and may involve inherent risks. Attendance signifies acceptance of these terms.

In the event of a medical emergency, Wychbury Ave Soap & Gifts may seek or provide emergency treatment if unable to reach a guardian or contact. Participants assume all related costs and certify good health prior to attending.

Our studio is a hands-on creative space and may involve oils, colourants, and other staining materials. Participants are responsible for protecting their own clothing and belongings. Wychbury Ave Soap & Gifts is not responsible for loss, staining, or damage.

• By attending, you grant permission for Wychbury Ave Soap & Gifts to photograph or film you and your work for promotional use.
• If you prefer not to be photographed, please inform us before your session begins.

• Gift certificates and workshop credits are non-refundable and have no cash value.
• They may be applied toward eligible workshops, retail products, or future bookings.
• Expiry dates, if applicable, will appear on the certificate.

We foster a welcoming, inclusive environment. Unsafe, disruptive, or disrespectful behaviour will not be tolerated. Participants who compromise safety or enjoyment may be removed without refund.

All sales of handmade products, materials, and supplies are final unless defective. Please contact us within 7 days for assistance with faulty items.
