Bold. Expressive. Unapologetically creative.
This session in our Artist Series Soap-Making Workshops is inspired by the life, art, and spirit of Frida Kahlo—an icon known for her fearless use of colour, emotional depth, and celebration of identity. In this intermediate cold-process soap-making class, we’ll channel that same creative confidence into vibrant, painterly soap designs.
This hands-on workshop focuses on expressive colour palettes, intentional movement, and layered swirling techniques that allow your soaps to feel alive with motion and feeling. Think rich jewel tones, earthy neutrals, unexpected contrasts, and bold compositions that reflect Frida’s powerful visual language.
Scent design plays a supporting role, with warm florals, soft woods, and grounding notes that feel rooted, sensual, and timeless. You’ll learn how to pair scent and colour thoughtfully, so every element of your soap feels cohesive and purposeful.
Crafted in small batches using skin-loving oils, each bar becomes a miniature canvas—celebrating creativity, resilience, and the beauty of telling your own story through your craft.
This workshop is ideal for soap-makers who already understand the basics and are ready to explore freer, more expressive techniques while refining control and intention.
A creative experience that’s vibrant, soulful, and deeply satisfying.
