Gold Shimmer Mica Powder

Add a warm, luminous gold finish to soaps, bath products and DIY creations with Gold Shimmer Mica. This cosmetic-grade mica gives projects a rich golden colour with light-reflecting shimmer.

In clear melt & pour soap, the shimmer really shines; in opaque soap bases and cold process soap, expect a softer, more muted gold. 

How to Use

Cold Process Soap: Start with 1–2 tsp per lb of oils. Pre-disperse in a small amount of liquid oil before adding to your soap batter for smooth, even colour. 

Melt & Pour Soap: Start with ¼–½ tsp per lb of soap base. Clear bases will showcase the shimmer more strongly than opaque bases. 

Bath Bombs: Use sparingly for colour and shimmer. Polysorbate 80 can help disperse mica in the bath water and reduce pigment sticking to the tub.

 

Approved by the manufacturer for general cosmetics, lip, eye and nail products. Avoid inhaling airborne mica powder while measuring and mixing.
